Plumbing Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and analysis of sustainable building plumbing and fire protection systems within healthcare facilities, K-12/higher education and other buildings.

• Writing of project reports, drawings and specifications

• Coordinating work with clients and other consultants as well as in-house staff from other disciplines

• Complete Code and Standards for Fire Protection design

• Engaging with contractors for pre-construction and construction support activity

• Documentation of systems design in software such as Autodesk, MicroStation, Revit

• Engineering analysis work, including load calculations and equipment sizing

• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals. Two to three years of relevant engineering industry experience and experience in sustainable design. PE license preferred, but not required. Must have valid New York State Driver’s license. Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills essential for working with design teams and non-technical clients. Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
