ROCHESTER, NY – IBC Engineering, an engineering consulting firm specializing in innovative design building systems, is proud to announce it has completed services for Northland Communications.
The Owner wanted to consolidate the main office in Utica, NY with the branch office in Holland Patent, NY, so they needed assistance with designing renovations and the addition at their main facility. IBC Engineering was selected to provide the following services:

Specifically, IBC Engineering provided a Building Condition Survey to examine the existing facility and see what was needed for renovation to accommodate the additional space. Once those needs were determined IBC Engineering worked with the project team to provide a design that suited Northland Communication’s needs.
As a result, the legacy HVAC systems were replaced and the life-safety systems were brought up to code. Water, gas, and electric services were upgraded throughout the building as well, in addition to a new ventilation system.
IBC Engineering worked closely with King + King Architects and the Owner throughout the design process to ensure its successful completion.
