ROCHESTER – IBC Engineering, an engineering consulting firm specializing in innovative design building systems, is proud to announce the closeout of engineering services for construction of Canandaigua Central School District’s new athletic facilities.
Canandaigua was in need of a multi-sport, all weather field and athletic complex capable of hosting night games, as well as large tournaments. Then in 2014, as part of the 2015 Capital Improvement Projects, school district voters approved a bond for a $13.4 million school security and athletic facilities renovation and addition.
IBC Engineering P.C. provided the district engineering design services to successfully complete the project. Major engineering services include the following:

Connect athletic complex buildings to nearby Canandaigua Academy with gas, domestic water, power, telecommunications and fire alarm systems.

Implement LED sports lighting and a new score board/ sound system to support the new turf field. The field was illuminated with LED performance lighting to Class II Level of Play design standards.

Electric systems design was provided for the Press Box building.

Provide M/E/P systems design for concessions, team room, and storage buildings. Concession stand now has cooking capabilities as well.

New lighting systems were implemented in the parking lot and open seating to enhance fan experience.
The company worked closely with SEI Design Group and Canandaigua Central School District to ensure a smooth design process. This project was completed in March 2017 and is set for its Grand Opening in May 2017. Canandaigua Central School District’s new complex will be one of the premier athletic complexes in Upstate and Western New York.
