ROCHESTER, NY – IBC Engineering, an engineering consulting firm specializing in innovative design building systems, is proud to announce it has completed services for Rochester Firefighters Local 1071.

This new 10,000 SF building was built out as result of the Local 1071 Fire Hall Union’s desire to create a multi-use facility for offices, meeting space, and community events.

IBC Engineering was selected to provide the following services for this new building:

  • Mechanical Engineering Systems Design

  • Electrical Engineering Systems Design

  • Plumbing Engineering Systems Design

  • Fire Protection Engineering Systems Design

Specifically, IBC Engineering worked alongside the Site engineering team to provide a new dedicated water service to support the new fire suppression system installed within the facility. The building was designed and equipped with an approved RPZ backflow prevention system on the new dedicated domestic water service to the facility as well. Rochester Firefighters Local 1071, also incorporated design for a complex 30 ft tall glass tower entry off of the main entrance with custom LED lighting and mechanical provisions to ensure thermal comfort levels.

To complete these efforts, the IBC Engineering, P.C. worked closely with SEI Design Group and Rochester Firefighters Local 1071 Union to ensure a smooth design process. Construction is on track to be complete by June 2017.
