Location: Rochester, NY

Project Scope: Provided Full M/E/P/FP design services for two-phase high-rise addition.

• (5) floors of patient observation/general patient care units
• (1) Floor consists of the Operating Room Suite – (6) Operating rooms
• Mechanical Floors on the 3rd and penthouse (8th) levels
• Provided new satellite central plant (Heating Hot Water and Chilled Water) to serve new addition
• (3) 500 KW generators to provide emergency back-up power
• Negative Pressure patient floor for use in pandemics
• Single Pass airflow distribution systems in patient rooms to minimize airborne contaminations
• Stair Tower and Exit Passageway Pressurization systems for the high-rise

Results: IBC managed to design state of the art MEP/FP systems for a ~10 year phased project to enhance Highland Hospital’s high standard of patient care.
