ROCHESTER, NY – IBC Engineering, an engineering consulting firm specializing in innovative design building systems, recognizes Rob Hudson for earning his Building Energy Modeling Professional Certification (BEMP).

Rob Hudson, of Rochester, NY, was recently awarded his BEMP certification from ASHRAE. Hudson first joined IBC Engineering as an intern in 2009 and currently serves as Energy Engineer where he’s responsible for technical design and analysis, as well as energy modeling, in variety of sustainable design projects. With more than seven years of experience in engineering, he is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Engineering.

The BEMP certification is used as a measure of professional accomplishment in the HVAC&R industry. Completion of this certification validates competency to model new and existing building systems with the full range of physics, as well as evaluate, select, use, calibrate and interpret the results of energy modeling software where applied to building and systems energy performance and economics.
