Project Scope: IBC Engineering provided M/E/P/FP services for the renovation of 52,000 SF 1913 warehouse into energy efficient office building in downtown Syracuse, NY.

• Created high performance building envelope to reduce heating and cooling energy requirements

• Used displacement ventilation to supply air to breathing zone

• Downsized piping and distribution in chiller and boiler plants

• Placement of skylights, open work areas and reflective values of paint reduced artificial lighting power densities significantly

• Awarded a $93,000 NYSERDA incentive

Results: Project achieved LEED Platinum Certification, earned an ACEC’s Diamond Award, as well as an ACEC National Honor Award.
