ROCHESTER INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
-UNIVERSITY SERVICE CENTER
This three story, 54,000sf building was designed with energy efficiency and Green Building design principles. IBC Engineering’s LEED™ Accredited Professionals ensured the systems design included day-light harvesting with occupancy sensors and programmable timer switches, tankless water heaters, HVAC Temperature Controls System, outside air ventilation, On-site Energy Monitoring Systems. |

KING & KING ARCHITECTS OFFICE BUILDING
This 52,000sf building was originally constructed for the manufacturing of J.I. Case Threshing Machines. The firm’s Owners are dedicated to the revival of the downtown area. This building will achieve a LEED™ Platinum rating, and is used as a touring facility for people interested in learning more about sustainable design. IBC Engineering, P.C. provided the HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and LEED™ engineering design. IBC also commissioned the HVAC, plumbing, photovoltaic, lighting, and controls of this building. When the entire team works together, pushing each other with ideas that can be modeled, it is possible to produce a sustainable building within traditional construction costs.

The Electric Tower - Buffalo, NY
This 14-story, white glazed terra cotta, octagonal 294-foot high Tower has been completely renovated, with a specific focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. IBC Engineering PC has provided engineering services for of this multi-year, multi-phase project. One unique building feature is the Thermal Energy Storage System or TES, designed by IBC. This system makes and stores ice during building “off-peak” hours, which is then used for cooling during normal daytime operations. The result: a downsized chiller plant, smaller mechanical equipment, decreased building loads, and a reduced carbon footprint. IBC was the proud recipient of the “2009 ACEC Platinum Award for Engineering Excellence” for the design of this system. |
