IBC Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services for
the RIT Student Development Center. This two-story 30,000 square foot building addition and 15,000
square foot renovation to the existing dining and cooking facilities included large dining and kitchen
systems upgrades, large meeting rooms, snack bars and office space.. IBC, through creative engineering
was able to modify an existing 100% outside air H & V unit upgrading the system to meet current
ventilation rates while saving enough plant energy that the 30,000 square foot addition was brought
online without increasing the heating or cooling plant output capacity.
